LESCO Tariff

When we use any service, we are required to pay for it. Similarly, LESCO consumers pay charges for the electricity they use. These charges are known as the LESCO Tariff, which varies according to the type of consumer. Domestic consumers are charged lower rates compared to commercial and industrial users. Additionally, domestic consumers are further divided into different categories based on their electricity consumption.

Lifeline users are consumers who consume up to 100 units during the last 12 consecutive months. They are charged at nominal rates and receive the highest level of protection. Consumers who consume up to 200 units during the last six consecutive months are classified as protected consumers. They are charged lower rates, and the government provides subsidies on their electricity bills. https://y999game.xyz/

Next are unprotected consumers who consume more than 200 units in a month and are charged higher rates compared to protected consumers. The tariff structure varies for commercial, industrial, and agricultural consumers. It mainly depends on the sanctioned load and electricity consumption. These consumers are billed according to their usage during peak and off-peak hours.

Peak/Off-Peak Hours

When electricity consumption is at its highest level, it is known as peak hours. During this period, most consumers use electricity, which increases the load on the national grid and results in higher electricity rates. Peak hours vary depending on the season and weather conditions. The following table shows the peak hours for different seasons of the year:

March – May6 PM – 10 PMRemaining hours
